"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." ~The Lorax~
Pay it Forward
A journey begins to take place within ourselves, when we genuinely express gratitude for each other. We instantly experience a surge of warmth and a sense of belonging deep within that sacred core spot, we call the heart.
We feel, promote, and nurture gratitude when we Pay it Forward! As a result,
an engaged community arise from the ground up, devoted and impartial to age, race, genre, disabilities and social and economical differences, bound by love, appreciation and gratitude to one another.
"By being the most full, creative, and generous expression of ourselves, we are woven into the energetic tapestry that connects us all. If we want the world to be a coherent, strong, and love-filled space, then inside ourselves must be a synchronized, whole, and love-filled place." —Jennifer Lipski, 2014
"If ever your soul is weak, if ever you believe that the goals of earth-existence are beyond your reach, think of the human being's divine origin and become aware of those forces within you which are also the forces of supreme love. Exert your greatest strength to become inwardly concious of the forces which will give you confidence and certainty in all that you do, through all your life, now and in all ages of time to come." ~Rudolf Steiner~
In June of 1924 at the request of a group of farmers in Koberwitz, Silesia concerned with the decline in soil and animal health that they were witnessing on their farms, Rudolf Steiner gave eight lectures on agriculture. Austrian philosopher and social reformer, Rudolf Steiner set forth the basic understading to biodynamics. Steiner’s insights have also led to innovative movements in a number of other fields such as education (Waldorf Schools), medicine, finance and social therapy.
Today biodynamic farming is practiced in 47 counties all around the globe. Considered by many to be the most advanced and holistic form of farming and gardening, biodynamic methods are designed to stimulate and sustain the farm’s inherent fertility, health and terrain through the integration of crops and livestock, the restoration of on-farm biodiversity, and thoughtful cooperation with the influences of the sun, moon and planets on the earth. Introduction to Biodynamics By Robert Karp and Thea Maria Carlson).
Kids for Mother Earth believes in bringing back health and fertility to our depleted ecosystem through the principles and practices of biodynamics.
When the need to create environmental awareness for a class of kindergardeners came to a table disccusion among parents and teachers at the Wagner Montessori School in Miami, a few of us moms got together to brainstorm. A week later, I was presenting the children with a 12 minutes color video called Mother Earth Needs Our Help! The children loved it and so did the teachers!
With the help of my friend and children's book illustrator, Sarah Vazquez, the video script was now on its way to become a children's book. In 2009, Mother Earth Needs Our Help! was published by Trafford Publishing Company in two languages, English and Spanish.
Mother Earth Needs Our Help! Combines beautiful illustrations and simple words together to convey a message of hope—we can work with our planet, not against it! Children can read and learn about the earth’s condition and about the many simple and ‘down to earth’ actions that will make a difference to the oveall wellbeing of our planet.
Whether you are a parent, teacher, camp counselor, or librarian , Mother Earth Needs Our Help! promotes creativity and taps into the child's endless imaginative forces and offers simple suggestions to turn into fun environmental activities for children and adults alike.
Promoting ECO Awareness
At Kids for Mother Earth, we imagen a world where nature is integrated fully in our daily life, where children's meaning of truth is discovered through their senses and is nurtured by ethical sensibilities and where a feeling of responsabilty takes place by working together through our daily actions. Rudolf Steiner, a maverick Austrian philosopher and scientist, once said,—"The need for imagination, a sense of truth and a feeling of responsibility -- these are the three forces which are the very nerve of education."
We are committed to bring environmental awarenes by allowing children to think for themselves and to learn through practical experience.
